Waterproof Bible - NKJV - Brown

The media could not be loaded.  The waterproof Bible really does float and it dries nicely when you prop it up on it’s binding. The font is on the smaller side which I normally don’t like but I really don’t mind it because it’s so sharp and easy to read. I paired my waterproof, floating Bible with a waterproof, floating speaker also purchased on Amazon! It’s taken my worship time to a whole new level on the lake.

Wanted a water proof bible for canoe trip. Fits the bill

Reviewed after 4 months: I didn't purchase this Bible with the intention of rucking with it, I just wanted hefty pages and small print to use it while I'm by myself in my garage gym. It's a good Bible for outdoors, and not just because of the advertised waterproofing. I mostly use this Bible while exercising and for solo prayer and reading. The book lays decently flat once the binding is loosened up, and the heavier pages don't flutter if a fan or breeze is going. That might seem mundane but it's pretty convenient to leave it on the floor how I like it without needing a bookmark to keep my page.Small print isn't suitable for everyone, and some readers want their Bibles to have hefty margin notes, study commentary, cross-references, book introductions, etc. This Bible trims that out, other than a few footnotes. This results in a relatively compact Bible with a lot of scripture printed on each page. It's great to have 10+ chapters displayed at a time in Psalms or Proverbs without flipping. Useful during prayer and meditation.The so-so binding is my one concern but so far it has held up without issue. I don't worry if I'm going to accidentally rip or bend the pages, or smudge them with something that will stain the page. I have kids which adds to the potential of spilled jam or juice ruining a Bible left at the end of a dining room table.For the note-takers and underliners, the pages are perfect for pencil. Easily erases with barely a hint of pencil left behind! Plus, the heavier pages means you can notate and erase without fear of shredding it, which might be the case with a heftier study Bible with thin pages. Pencil doesn't smudge any more than standard paper, so if pencils are your thing, consider this copy or a larger-page copy for your note-taking studies. These pages are high quality in several ways; I was really impressed.

I bought 2 of these and love them. Highly recommend for those who want to have a bible that is resistant to water.

This bible is extremely useful. My ministry is on the streets in the USA. I have spent years living in the streets in all kinds of weather. I preparing for my “last” trip now because I don’t plan to return. I am expecting to spend the rest of my life living rough in urban, rural and wilderness environments.This is the Bible that I am taking. It goes in the back pocket of my jeans, and it endures everything that I do.The only thing I would see change is the font size. A 10 or 12 font would be much easier to read. I recognize that with these materials, a larger font creates a noticeably larger and more expensive book.
